Set Your Preferences and Permanently Hide Channels and Categories

You can set your content preferences in the new Content Preference Center – so you’re only shown the type of content you want (straight, lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, virtual reality). When you set your content preferences, they will persist on another device and in incognito mode, so you only have to set them once.

Also, we are happy to announce the implementation of a brand new long requested feature to the Adult Time platform: the ability to permanently hide channels, categories and actors. Subscribers will also be able to do this in the new Content Preference Center.

This New Feature means that our subscribers can more easily permanently hide content they are not interested in, making the discovery of new enjoyable content more easy.

Why is it a good thing?
  1. It gives the ability to permanently hide content from categories, channels, actors and;
  2. It centralizes your preferences in one screen.

How does it work?

Open the content preferences center by clicking on the sex symbols beside the Adult Time logo, or by clicking on “Preferences” in the left menu or in your profile menu on the top right.

On mobile, just click on “Preferences” at the top of any listing page. There’s another “Preferences” button in the “More” menu and another one in your profile menu.

When the Content Preference Center opens, you can choose to hide or show straight, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, gay and virtual reality content. You can also add categories, channels or actors you want to hide quickly & easily.

Hide Channels quickly from the Channel Page

Detailed Step by Step on How it Works

On Desktop:

  • Click the sex symbol icons beside the logo to open the Content Preference Center (in a pop up window) with the “Content Preferences”, “Hidden Categories”, “Hidden Channels” and “Hidden Actors” options;
  • A maximum of 30 categories can be hidden;
  • A maximum of 30 channels can be hidden;
  • A maximum of 30 actors can be hidden;
  • Hidden categories will appear red in listing pages;
  • In listing pages, you can still click the “eye” icon beside the category to temporarily hide it, but it will show again in a different session. To hide the category permanently, you need to hide it in the Content Preference Center;
  • Content Preference Center is also available by clicking the avatar icon on the top right and clicking on “Preferences”;
  • There’s also a “Preferences” button in the left menu, which will also trigger the Content Preference Center;
  • Channel pages will have a button under the header to show or hide the channel. The button will be red when you click to hide the channel.

On Mobile:

  • You will have a “Preferences” button at the top of the video listing page. Click on “Preferences” to open the Content Preference Center with the “Content Preferences”, “Hidden Categories”, “Hidden Channels” and “Hidden Actors” options.
  • You’ll also have another “Preferences” button in the “More” menu and another one in your avatar profile menu, both buttons will trigger the Content Preference Center.
  • Aside from the location of the “Preferences” button, the functionality is the same as on desktop.
  • Channel pages will have a button under the header to show or hide the channel. The button will be red when you click to hide the channel.

Remember:
  • Recommended scenes will also take the preferences into account, including the recommended scenes on the scene player page.
  • Preferences saved in the Content Preference Center will be saved permanently and will be carried through to new sessions or other devices

Not at the moment, but we may add the ability to do so in the near future.

is there a plan to add bbc as a tag so people can filter whether or not they want to see that?

We will not be adding BBC as a tag because it’s not a term that we would like to use. You can narrow your search by using the “Black” and “Big Dick” tags.

Hi – Is there any way to remove viewing history so that the recommendations can be re-set? Sometimes it is awkward for the recommendations to be visible when viewing with others…

There’s no way to remove your viewing history, but we may eventually implement the ability to do so.

Agree with the suggestion to allow saving favorite categories. Somewhat unrelated, can “rimming” and “rim job” be condensed to one category? Thanks.

Is there a way to block performers that we don’t want to see?

Yes, you can now block performers. In the “Hidden Actors” section, type the name of the actor you want to block and then click on the actor name when it comes up.

Is there a way to highlight your favorite categories and get recommendations for these at the top? It’s a feature missing from all the sites I’ve been to before.

for instance, favorite categories are POV, hardcore
Then new content from favorite actors on row 2

if this exists already please let me know 😉

Agree that this is a good change. A better change would be a place to go to make requests and comments – with the understanding you can’t call it a forum.

My current request is to see all the Instagram AMA’s as videos that can be played back. Instagram shouldn’t be a requirement for viewing. I don’t have an account nor will I ever. A member should be able to access all content through AdultTime. Thanks.

Can I get an answer on my AMA question?

Unfortunately, not for now. AMA on Instagram are live takeover. We don’t record them. It is extra content on social. We are looking at making other initiatives on other platforms. But we will look at your suggestion.

Great new feature. Suggestions: get rid of redundant categories (or allow more than 20). I ran into my 20 limit quickly. Add in the ability to block performers we’ve “thumbs downed” or the ability to block performers. This should also give you some good data on user dislikes for future productions.

Definitely the best change in a while. Now we need:

  1. A suggestion box.
  2. User profile pictures back (very sad).
  3. Changes promised in GW user poll.

One thing I would really like to see is the ability to search for scenes by specific directors; Ricky Greenwood, David Lord, etc.

When watching a video, the suggestive videos have gone from the right side panel, will it be coming back? I liked those tbh

I was wondering if it was just me and I agree that was a nice tool to see interesting movies from channels you don’t usually check.

Love this! Thank you thank you thank you. This is a feature I have been highly anticipating and have used it just as soon as it’s rolled out.

It works great! However, there is one thing, one small change I’d like to see made in the future.

Please, allows us the option to Hide more than 20 channels.

There are a variety of reasons that the feature’s 20 slots get soaked up without using them as needed. For example, I’ve got lifetime subs to Evil Angel, Xempire (HardX), Girlfriends Films, Addicted2Girls, Genderx, Zero Tolerance, Diabolic, Wicked, Taboo Heat, Blowpass (Throated), My Pervy Family and Filthy Kings. As such, and having access to their new releases as well as their content libraries having them show up in the feed on Adult Time is simply clutter. So if I were to use this new feature to Hide those channels (only as I have full access to their sites as is) that’s 12 out of the 20 slots. Then, if someone happens to be a member at non-Gamma sites, which I am, that eats up even more of the 20 slots, as there’s not reason to have them in the feed on Adult Time, having full access to their libraries and new releases. So I’m also a member at Vixen, Tushy, Femjoy, Club Sweethearts (Adult Prime), SinfulXXX (AdultPrime), Exxxtra Small (TeamSkeet) – that’s seven more. So that is 19 of the 20 available slots and I haven’t been able to Hide anything but stuff I’ve already paid for.

Please, allow us to fully customize our viewing experience. There are so many more channels, bran after brand of what I consider low quality, filler content (the fast food hamburger) that I want to hide but am stuck in a position between Hiding the low quality filler content or the Good Quality content but cluttered content as I’ve bought and paid for and have full access to it already.

Now, this has helped! It’s helped a lot! But please, pretty please, give us more than 20 slots for Channels.

What’s not to like? It only adds functionality and takes nothing away. Seriously–what don’t you like about it?

Why don’t you like it? You are not forced to use it.

Why? I won’t use it, unless you count the allow / don’t allow sliders who were there before, but if others find it useful what’s the big deal?
