“Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a wild beast or a god”
-Francis Bacon
Boys and ghouls, Halloween is just around the corner! Now is a great time to hang out with Adult Time… and chill. 😉
Let’s go back to Pure Taboo’s erotic horror series Under The Bed.
Within is the first episode of this 4-part anthology heavily inspired by horror shows like Tales From the Crypt and Creepshow. “Each episode is a short film, with its own vision, style and codes; it goes from campy to strangely disturbing,” said Frank Stacy, executive producer of the series. “This is a very unique project that we hope will be popular with Pure Taboo and Adult Time for Halloween audiences.”
Directed by Canadian filmmaker Fred Vogel and starring Emily Willis, Emma Hix and Michael Vegas, Within is a visual homage to classic Hammer films and Roger Corman’s E.A. Poe cycle. Lurid, surreal and strong primary colors create a special ambiance reminiscent of tales from these classic horror films starring Vincent Price, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Solid technical cinematography resting on red and blue tones coupled with sleek visuals and camera-works contribute to the tension. Stormy weather is also a classic Gothic trope featured here to evoke the supernatural.
Other episodes were directed by Bree Mills, Éric Falardeau and Joanna Angel.
Turn off the lights and enjoy our stories of erotic terror!
