I see very few “Outdoor” or “In Public” scenes on your site. Would love to see many more. Seeing a girl in the forest, at the beach or in the car masturbating (solo) is a real turn on. Is there a reason why your site is so limited in Outdoor or Public scenes?
These days you can take surveys with a gigantic grain of salt. What did we expect to see but the ubiquitous Girlsway and Girlfriend films unending and interchangeable lines?
Just because these companies have a successful volume and more volume model doesn’t mean they are checking the boxes above. For example, having a story tops priorities in the answers, right? That’s exactly the weakest part of anything those companies and anybody else does, these days. Re-glamorizing the performers(like 21st sextury and Viv Thomas used to do , for example) , dealing with post-PC syndrome, actually having someone write and direct and edit …So much to do to actually deliver videos that match the percentages indicated above as to what viewers want seems to be a harder goal, everyday.
As to the pure technical aspects, go back to the way lesbian videos used to be filmed. Set up angles and close ups and partial body shots. Some times the cameras seem to be set up in the next rooom, so to speak. Use clever editing and pacing. When I last watched Sandra Shine-directed videos , which clearly show editing , partial body and face takes, a forgotten art in the fly by night style that the two G companies have imposed will flash at you.
You need editing, you need direction and you need scripts. And where you don’t have scripts, at least have style , shoes, dresses, pace, everything a too short video like Stunning from Viv Thomas (on this website) can bring to the viewer. Is lesbian porn ever going to be daring, again? Can the always present nervous giggling and grinning that you see on the performers be overcome? The self consciousness? When you see male-female scenes, there usually comes a point when they seem to be lost to passion, at least for a few moments. With the current brand of lesbian scenes, it s one interruption and grinning break after the other to go through the menu and another scene in the bag. Worst of all is the disastrous and perennial attempts at camp.
The crisis in lesbian scene filming is a broad subject, so the above is just a tidbit,for now. Production companies will have to get over the new hang ups, of which the answer to most favorite scene seems to be an example. The correct answer. All that is not to say the demand will continue to be there, given the eternal beauty of lesbian sex.

While I’m thinking of it I do want to say that in general the social media activity has been better lately – I do think that in the absence of Girl of the Month honors in the form of awards and special scenes GW and AT can do more to push stars.
I see some effort to highlight stars with upcoming scenes ( and that’s something I think works ) but really go the extra mile ; compile a list of their brand specific credits and remind everyone on Twitter that those scenes are still up. This will only become more helpful as time passes and the back catalog grows ever larger.
If we ourselves can’t request pairings officially then perhaps the team could do more in reaching out to talents and making their never before seen dream pairings happen. I know lots of stars maintain their own lists of people they want to work with but haven’t yet. So many talents respond to fans by saying they have no booking power personally. You could be the exception to that rule and gain a lot of easy good will at the same time you are giving us all new matchups. A win win if I ever saw one.
Very curious if you all used ‘ Content Request ‘ as a catch all for fans asking for stuff like a return of member fantasy submissions and specific story or channel pitches? I notice no such acknowledgment of member fantasies in the results of the word clouds but know for a fact that many of us are very invested in that aspect of the so called community making a come back.
I for one am disappointed that we can’t see if member submissions showed up but can now only assume that the mention of them was intentionally rolled into something broad – which in effect now is lost to us and becomes meaningless as a result. I do believe with my whole heart that if the key phrase member fantasies or member submissions were represented it would prove my point that the fans want it.
As someone who spent over an hour responding to the survey and then waited months to hear back it’s disheartening to think that so much of what I wrote seems more or less written off by the process that didn’t seem to want data beyond superficial generalizations in the end.
Ah correction : I do see story submission in the community portion of the survey now. But since the ‘ community ‘ itself feels so pulled back as to consist of scene comment section and an even active blog section I still don’t feel optimistic. And I’m still wondering about what ‘ content request ‘ actually means in real terms. It is one of the larger terms in every instance of the cloud but perhaps too amorphous to reflect anything we can learn from.

We did see “story submission” or similar feedback a few times. Out of the 6000+ answers, i wouldn’t say it’s a majority of users that are interested in seeing them back. I went through the open ended answers before replying to you, and I saw around 50 people that asked specifically in one part or the other of the survey for “story submission”, “user submission” and such. You can add to that around 400 people that did type in the survey “content request” (we didn’t make it up, that’s what they typed) so it’s about 7% of people that would like some form of “content request” or “submission” system – still fairly small.
We are planning to do a one-time contest for user-submitted stories later this year, with the produced scene releasing in the Spring. We haven’t figured out exactly how we will handle it, but it will be a good way to gauge interest and to bring back some form of user-submission on a small scale.

I’m going to need a little clarification on something. Girlcore ranked 13th out of 17 for channels, but is listed as the 7th favorite lesbian scene of all time overall for AdultTime. I’m guessing that the result for scenes is an amalgamation of all Girlcore scenes under one banner just like the We Like Girls and Teenage Lesbian are also not for a specific scene? I really think Girlcore might have ranked higher if the second season wasn’t such a let down compared to the first as it’s obvious a lot of people do like enough of it to rank 7th out of everything.
I’d say some of the major things you could take away from the survey is people definitely want more of a sayin story production with member submissions like it used to be, as well as having better production values. That includes better directors, better lighting, better camera, and locations.
Oh yeah and notice how 80% of your paying members DON’T follow your social media accounts? Maybe you should pay more attention to the comments section on your site rather than people on twitter trolling for likes or pushing agendas as it’s obvious they aren’t the ones putting up the money for you to stay in business.
I totally agree regarding the better production values. It’s easier said than done, but it’s definitely where the bulk of our efforts is gonna go (probably across the board, not just for lesbian content, in the next year)
For Girlcore, I think it’s because a lot of new members haven’t been exposed to it. You see similar trends for True Lesbian, that was in the best scenes of the year when we looked at the data, but didn’t fare as high when we asked people – probably due to a large rotation of subscribers and poor visibility on Adult Time of older content. Season 2 of Girlcore actually outperformed the first season in terms of viewership metrics.
For social media, I think you are correct but you might also be overestimating how much we try to pander to the followers. On our side, the 80% was great news, because older surveys done on many sites suggested more like a 4-5% of members following us.

I subscribe to Girlsway / Adult Time not because the style and content exactly matches my own preferences (I’m not a fan of the “harder” content), but because I like how much effort goes into the production, writing, and acting. With the flood of porn available these days, that’s not easy to maintain.
Of course I also like the fact that there’s such an enormous catalogue of content.
One suggestion is to spend some time thinking about filtering tools. It might be helpful to have a way to filter out channels you’re not interested in. For example, have a default channel filter that appears when you log in, like “show me only content from Girlsway,” or “show me only content from channels X, Y and Z.”

For pregnant, yeah it’s pretty much the same. We did I believe 2 or 3 scenes on Girlsway with pregnant and/or lactating models and they were always well received.
I would say peeing is different (because most girls can pee) but we never experimented with this niche because it was flagged as “risky content” for a long time.
And to be honest peeing stuff is bottom of the barrel trash… just let that one to Legal Porno.

Many of the results are what I personally expected to see from a vast majority of members. A couple of surprises here and there but overall, it looks like the membership is of the same mindset on so many of these categories.
The survey results do correlate well with the comments that are being posted for most of the individual scene releases each day. I LOVE seeing that membership rated THE TURNING in the top 5 of all-time lesbian scene(s) of all time. Quite frankly, it should be listed as THE all-time favorite, in my opinion, as it IS perfection. I strongly believe that if it had been originally released within the last year, it would be THE favorite by membership for this entire decade.
It is clear that most all of the comments members have been providing are reflected here, which provides Adult Time an excellent guide to create (and continue to create) content that most members want to consistently see.
