Adult Time’s latest feature film “Birth” is now playing! This psychological thriller, created by award-winning writer and director Bree Mills, takes viewers on a gripping journey into the emotional complexities and consequences that emerge when pregnancy and infidelity intersect. The film stars Casey Calvert, Leana Lovings, Seth Gamble, Tommy Pistol, Daniel Shar, Robby Apples, and Codey Steele.
The story follows married couple Laura and Matthew, portrayed by Calvert and Gamble, as they seek assistance from fertility specialist Doctor Bill, played by Shar. As Laura embarks on her pregnancy journey, she encounters challenges such as severe morning sickness and unsettling dreams that begin to blur the lines between reality and fantasy.
A pivotal character in the narrative is the doula, portrayed by Lovings, who forms a close bond with Matthew, leading to Laura’s increasing sense of disconnection. As Laura’s dreams take a darker turn involving three mysterious strangers played by Pistol, Apples, and Steele, Doctor Bill watches closely, documenting her descent into a chaotic mental state.
Bree Mills expressed her excitement about returning to the director’s chair after five years, stating, “This is the first original feature I’ve written and directed for Adult Time since 2019 and it feels so nice to be back in the zone after spending the last few years helping others tell their stories. To be able to do this with a group of people who mean so much to me makes it the ultimate come back.”
Reflecting on the creation of “Birth,” Mills added, “When I wrote ‘Birth,’ I didn’t want to think about it like a ‘comeback’ movie; I just wrote it because I had a story to tell.”
